INNOVATION: Ciclope Automotive’s board visits Lavrastec, UFLA’s new technological park

In order to evaluate partnership opportunities, Ciclope Automotive’s board visited the future facilities of Lavrastec, UFLA’s – Federal University of Lavras new technological park.

The 12,000 square meters park will house research and development centers for anchor companies, startups, junior enterprises, laboratories, auditoriums, and a living area. In addition to the building structure, 68 thousand square meters of the area will be made available to companies interested in building warehouses and laboratories within the university.

With the launch of Lavrastec in 2020, the Ciclope Group expects to install its R&D department within the park. In addition to making the development team’s access to the University’s laboratories feasible, the eventual installation of the Ciclope Group at Lavrastec will allow greater proximity with students and with the researches carried out by teachers.

According to the Ministry of Education (Inpe / MEC), UFLA is among the best universities in Brazil. Nevertheless, UFLA is rated as the 8th best university in the country and the 2nd best in Minas Gerais, according to the General Course Index (IGC); one of the 60 best universities in Latin America, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE); and one of the 150 best universities in the world, according to the QS Ranking.
